Three ways to have the room to yourself, from eight people at the pass to seventy standing. We write you a menu rather than hand you ours, and we would rather know your budget at the start than guess at it.
The Seed Room
The old sorting room at the back, with the merchant’s drawers still in the wall.
One long oak table, a window onto the yard, and a door that closes. Best for a dinner where everybody is meant to hear everybody. The drawers are labelled in a hand nobody here can read, and we have stopped trying.

The Counter
Eight stools at the pass, with whoever is cooking that night.
You watch the food being made and you talk to the people making it. Not a quiet option, and not a good one if you want to have a conversation among yourselves. Excellent if you want to be shown things.

The Whole Room
Everything, doors closed, from five in the afternoon.
Forty-six seated across the main room and the Seed Room, or seventy standing with the tables out. We will write you a menu rather than hand you ours. Sunday and Monday are easiest and cheapest.

Ayo answers these, usually within the day. Sunday and Monday are the easiest nights to take the whole room and the cheapest, and if your date is flexible say so — it is often worth several hundred pounds.
